Each and every Larry H. Miller company is given a charge to do what it can to help its local community flourish. This charge came from Larry H. Miller himself, and is taken very seriously by the Larry H. Miller Lexus Spokane dealership. Recently, Larry H. The connection between Larry H. Miller Lexus Spokane and Boys & Girls Club Spokane has significantly benefitted all involved, none more than the kids taking advantage of the incredible programs offered. Daniel Anderson, who is currently majoring in recreation at Eastern Washington University was one of those kids, and was even named Youth of the Year from 2006 to 2008.

“I started coming 12 years ago when the doors first opened,” Anderson says in the video. “In high school, it kept me in school and out of trouble. In a way, it saved my life. I knew when I was younger that this place was special.”

While a lot has been done to help kids grow into successful adults in the Spokane area, the struggles that stand in the way of this goal are never-ending. $10,000 donation to Providence Health Care of Eastern Washington .

On Friday, February 20th we were able to present a $10,000 donation to Providence Health Care of Eastern Washington along with the other three Larry H. Miller Spokane dealerships. 

This $10,000 donation will go towards two programs -- $5,000 towards the Patient Assistance Fund within Sacred Heart Children's Hospital and  $5,000 to support Reach Out and Read Program at Providence Pediatrics North.

Larry H. Miller Dealerships Provides Funding for Union Gospel Mission Thanksgiving Dinner

Dealerships will also donate turkeys for every new car purchased through Nov. 25

SPOKANE, Wash. (November 18, 2015) – For the second year, Larry H. Miller Hyundai Spokane, Larry H. Miller Lexus Spokane, Larry H. Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane and Larry H. Miller Downtown Honda Spokane will present the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) with a $5,000 donation to fund their annual City-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner, which takes place on Wednesday, November 25 from 4-6 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center. The grant is through Larry H. Miller Charities, the nonprofit arm of Larry H. Miller Dealerships, which is funded largely through employee donations.

Dealership general managers and employees will also help serve Thanksgiving dinner to more than 1,000 homeless and low-income families. In addition, now through November 25, the stores will donate either a turkey or a turkey dinner for every new vehicle purchased at their respective location.

“Family is central to our organization and we are thankful to be able to help provide members of our community with a warm dinner on this special day,” said John O’Bryan, senior vice president of operations, Larry H. Miller Dealerships.

The Union Gospel Mission (UGM) has worked to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate in Spokane for more than 60 years. The organization began as a soup kitchen in 1951 and has grown into a comprehensive ministry providing rescue, recovery and restoration, including three shelters, two thrift stores, an automotive business and a summer camp for underprivileged youth.

“There’s nothing more exciting than when local businesses partner with nonprofit organizations to make things happen,” said Phil Altmeyer, executive director, UGM. “We are extremely grateful that Larry H. Miller Dealerships has chosen to partner with the Union Gospel Mission for the second year in a row to provide a delicious Thanksgiving meal for some of the neediest individuals in our community. Plus, they are volunteering at the event, which is a gift in itself!”
