What You Need to Know About the New 2019 Lexus ES

A new year means a new level of performance and sophistication for the luxury brand—Lexus. After many years of success, the seventh-generation Lexus ES is set to turn heads. The ES is known for its unparalleled comfort, exhilarating performance, and striking design in the entry-luxury sedan category. The 2019 model is no different, except that it offers more.

What’s new?
The new 2019 ES sedan is longer, wider, and lower. It has an all-new chassis, is more spacious, quieter, and safer. Customers will have a chance to choose between the standard ES 350, ES 300h, and the first ES 350 F SPORT. Equipped with class-leading active safety technology, better performance, and a refreshed interior, you’ll fall in love immediately. The new F SPORT model will have an entirely different interior appearance with an all-new metallic cabin trim that is unlike anything Lexus as done before.

Project Chief Designer, Yasuo Kajino, describes the look of the ES as “provocative elegance.”

“The ES has always been an elegant luxury sedan. For this generation, we have added daring design elements that challenge the traditional expectations of buyers.”

What about the hybrid?
Don’t forget the hybrid model: the ES 300h delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, responsive performance, and minimal emissions for all eco-friendly lovers. The hybrid powertrain has been updated with a new fourth-generation Hybrid Drive System. The all-new engine incorporates fast-burn combustion technology that makes it one of the most thermally efficient engines ever offered in Lexus. The EPA rates fuel economy at 43 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined, leaving it with a better rate than the previous years’ models.

Safety and technology
Lexus is always dedicated to the safety of its vehicles. All 2019 ES models feature the new Lexus Safety System 2.0 with advanced technology, including lane tracing assist, bicyclist detection, and road sign detection to name a few. As we mentioned earlier, the new 2019 ES is Amazon Alexa-enabled. Drivers will be able to stay connected and use language commands to control many functions in the car and from home.
