The hybrid powertrain has been updated with a new fourth-generation Hybrid Drive System. The all-new engine incorporates fast-burn combustion technology that makes it one of the most thermally efficient engines ever offered in Lexus. The EPA rates fuel economy at 43 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined, leaving it with a better rate than the previous years’ models.

Safety and technology

Lexus is always dedicated to the safety of its vehicles. All 2019 ES models feature the new Lexus Safety System 2.0 with advanced technology, including lane tracing assist, bicyclist detection, and road sign detection to name a few.
