What we Know About the All-New Third Row Lexus RXL

Buyers have been asking—actually demanding—a three-row Lexus RX for quite some time. Although Lexus already has a couple of other three-row SUVs, there’s something about the RX that people love. Now, the 2018 Lexus RXL is finally here and the people will finally get what they want.

To debut this new SUV, Lexus has developed a marketing campaign to highlight the luxury and flexibility that three rows can offer. Able to seat six or seven people, the new RXL model will have the RX’s sophisticated features while providing more room for the unexpected.

"The RX has been the top-selling luxury utility vehicle in the U.S. for more than 20 years, and we're excited to offer the next evolution of the iconic crossover in two flavors: the V-6 RX 350L and the powerful multistage RX 450h," said Cooper Ericksen, vice president of marketing for Lexus. "The RXL marketing campaign is targeted at the modern family who values the luxury of space and flexibility for whatever life throws at them."

The RXL is a brand-new configuration of the Lexus RX and will be one of the less expensive luxury SUV models you will find. In the RX 350L, front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. If you want to go green without sacrificing speed and utility, the RX 450hL has 450 horsepower and standard AWD.

As with many other Lexus models, active and passive safety systems come standard. Both RXL models offer Enform Safety Connect* and Enform Service Connect*, which are complimentary for the first 10 years of vehicle ownership. Also included is the Lexus Safety System+*, which includes the Pre-Collision System* with Pedestrian Detection*, Lane Keep Assist*, Intelligent High Beams*, and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.* The RX 450hL Hybrid comes standard with Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)* with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.*
